Advanced Management Strategies Group (AMSG) is seeking a Senior Military Analyst to support the Deputy Commander’s Initiatives Group (Deputy CIG) within the Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE) G-5 Directorate. AMSG is a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), delivering exceptional program and performance management services across multiple federal agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD), (including Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Washington Headquarters Service (WHS) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Location: Fort Rucker, Alabama
Education: Bachelors degree required, a graduate of a military Senior Service College is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 20 years as a Senior Planner/Military Analyst in Army Aviation
Clearance Requirement: Secret
Scope: The Sr Military Analyst/Deputy CIG will provide high‑level strategic analysis, integration, and communication support to the command team. This role leads complex initiatives, manages CIG operations, and ensures the commander’s priorities are translated into actionable plans, messaging, and decision support products. The Sr Military Analyst/Deputy CIG will serve as a senior advisor, integrator, and coordinator across the staff, supporting enterprise‑wide initiatives and high‑visibility engagements.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the deputy lead for the Commander’s Initiatives Group, overseeing daily operations, workflow, and task prioritization.
- Ensure CIG efforts remain aligned with the commander’s strategic vision, priorities, and guidance.
- Conduct senior‑level analysis on operational, organizational, and modernization issues.
- Provide expert recommendations to the commander and senior staff on emerging challenges, opportunities, and strategic decisions.
- Support long‑range planning, strategic messaging, and enterprise‑level initiatives.
- Integrate information from across the enterprise to support commander priorities and special projects.
- Facilitate collaboration across diverse stakeholders to drive progress on complex initiatives.
- Lead high‑visibility, time‑sensitive initiatives directed by the commander.
- Develop concepts, white papers, strategic assessments, and decision support products.
- Manage initiatives requiring cross‑organizational coordination and enterprise synchronization.
- Must possess experience successfully developing executive (2–4-star level) briefings, speeches, information papers, and professional journal articles relating to Army aviation operations, training, doctrine, and program management.
- Must be able to proofread and edit the work of others to improve quality and identify and correct errors.
- Must be able to interpret guidance and quickly incorporate changes into draft products to achieve timelines.
