AMSG is seeking a Program Manager with Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Nonproliferation and Arms Control (N-24) subject matter expertise.

Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain a Level Q clearance with DOE

Job Type: Full Time, onsite, and contingent upon contract award

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering-related field

Years of Experience: 10

Program Manager: Will have a minimum of 10 years of experience managing a multifunctional contract team and interfacing with a government program office and Contracting Officer Representative/Contracting Officer. Also, five plus (5+) years’ experience overseeing $30+ million nuclear nonproliferation tasks, as well as experience with DOE/NNSA technical, managerial, contractual, and nuclear-related activities, processes, procedures, and organizations.

Responsibilities:

The Program Manager will:

  • Provide guidance and direction in the planning and execution of program assignments and managing and controlling project funds and resources.
  • Provide management insight into status and issues concerning the performance of all services provided under the contract. This includes managing and recruiting manpower, problem resolution, and employee relations skills.
  • Be responsible for the technical, financial, planning, and execution, administrative functions, contracting assistance, presentation support, and management of teams in performing support for NPAC sub-programs.
  • Advise the NPAC front office on technical issues associated with the contract and provide proactive, strategic planning to optimize support that ensures the office is efficient and adaptive in executing its mission.
  • Support program reviews to help ensure programs are meeting their technical and financial objectives.
  • Coordinate between NPAC stakeholders throughout NNSA, the DOE, as well as interagency partners, to ensure that activities are successful and well-integrated with whole-of-government initiatives.
  • Communicate and present materials to NNSA technical and senior staff.

Other requirements:

  • Ability to interact daily with the N-24 customer and NNSA organizations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, including multi-tasking and prioritizing requirements;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Background in nonproliferation and arms control;
  • Former Action Officer at DOE with knowledge of NNSA/ONAC is a definite plus;
  • May include travel requirements in support of the contract ~20%.
