AMSG is seeking a Technical Security Specialist Team Lead focused on Personnel Security, Information Security, and Foreign Travel to support the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Headquarters and Contract Management Offices. The Team Lead will provide high-level guidance to the Security Program Support Team, develop, assess, update, and execute security policies and procedures, and ensure all tasks meet government standards. Areas of responsibility include physical security, information security, operational security, personnel security, counterintelligence, anti-terrorism, and counter-insider threat.
Responsibilities:
The Technical Security Specialist Team Lead will support staff in DCMA-DCS to further a variety of traditional Security Programs:
- Manage and perform daily tasks to ensure the security of DCMA assets, personnel, and information through adherence to physical, information, and personnel security protocols.
- Assist in the development and integration of security policies, procedures, and manuals under the guidance of the Security Program Team Leads.
- Update and revise Information Security, Operational Security, and other policy manuals and documentation, ensuring they align with current government standards and policies.
- Assist customers with the DoD Foreign Clearance Guide and the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) for OCONUS travel.
- Schedule and provide foreign travel briefings, coordinate ISOPREP, and confirm DTS travel for OCONUS visits, including researching country-specific security requirements.
- Support Personnel Security by updating the Defense Information Security System (DISS) and Electronic Security Personnel File (EPSF) with accurate information.
- Maintain records and update internal databases for Personnel Security and Counter-Insider Threat assessments.
- Supervise the update and revision of Information Security and Operations Security manuals and submit these updates to the government for review.
- Manage and support the Security Assessment program by managing database updates, editing technical documents, and coordinating scheduling and feedback sessions with customers.
- Oversee the submission of Foreign Travel Briefing Packages, Personnel Accountability Assessment System remedy tickets, and policy/manual revisions.
- Mentor and develop team members while maintaining accountability for the accurate and timely completion of all assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Provide security project support to include, but not limited to, conducting market research, compiling GPC packets for Program Manager review and submittal, and tracking security projects for status updates and completions.
Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree
- Required: 4+ years’ experience in personnel security operations
- Required: Functional knowledge of DISS
- Required: Functional knowledge of the NISPOM
- Required: Operational knowledge of the Defense Travel System (DTS)
- Desired: Ability to manage multiple competing priorities at senior leader levels
Work Location: Ft. Lee, VA
Clearance Requirement: Must have a Tier Three (T3) investigation equivalent (ADP/IT-II) with access to SECRET Systems.
